The Workshop Initiative is a pocket-money job programme where young people aged 13–17 carry out small, practical maintenance tasks in their local housing areas.
Where does the initiative take place?
We run two workshop initiatives:
Gersagerparken
Gudekvarterene & Klyngen
What kind of help can you get?
If you are a resident of Gersagerparken or Gudekvarterene & Klyngen, you can receive help with small household maintenance tasks, such as
- Putting up shelve
- Installing lamps
- Hanging curtains
- Minor repairs
- Assembling small pieces of furniture
The help is free of charge, but residents must cover the cost of any spare parts or materials.
The young people always work under professional guidance and supervision from our coordinators, who take part in the entire task.

The initiative is a collaboration between the housing organisations Greve Boligselskab and Boligselskabet SydVest, together with the local housing department operations.
